Display Blanking In the Middle of Content; Extra Blank Slide in Scheduled Presentation

Potential Symptoms

  • Display intermittently blank during content rotation
  • Display blanking on same piece of content
  • Display showing blank screen in the middle of content

Environment

  • Product: GP4, GS6, GT6, GT6X, LCD,  DB-5000, DB-6400, BLD-0300, BLD-0200
  • Component: DMP-5000, DMP-8000
  • Control System: Venus Control Suite

Cause

  • The scheduled presentation has an extra blank slide.

Resolution

  1. Access Media Library within Web Editor or Scheduling app by clicking mountainscape icon on left side menu.  
  2. Locate the issue presentation by searching for article title in right side filter menu. 
  3. Select the presentation and click the pencil icon in bottom right pop out menu to edit the presentation. 
  4. Remove the blank slide by following instructions below for different content creation tool.
    1. Web Editor
      1. Select the Slide icon in top right corner.
      3. Locate the blank slide and select the trash can icon next to it to remove it.
      5. Select Save button in top left corner to save changes. 
    2. Content Studio
      1. Locate blank slide by checking Layouts at the bottom. 
      3. Select blank Layout and delete.
      5. Select save button in top left corner to save changes.
