How do I confirm power and signal is on for all standard sportsound components

Environment

  • Product: Sound Systems
  • Component: 500HD, 550HD, 1500HD, 2000HD, 2050HD
  • Control System: SSR-100, SSR-200, SSR-220, SSR-300, SSR-DM2, Fiber Box

Steps

  1. SSR-100
    1. The mixer power LED (circled) and the wireless receiver (if equipped) should be on
      1. If they are not on, verify that the power strip (triangle) is powered on and power cords are plugged in.
    2. The signal switch (boxed) should be turned on after the rack is powered on

      Gen I
       
       

      Gen II
       

      Gen III
       

  2. SSR-200
    1. The red LED (circled) on the rackmount power strip and the green LED (circled) on the mixer should be on
       
      1. If the red LED is not on, toggle the red switch on the power strip.  All devices should power on
      2. If the red LED is on, but devices are still off, turn devices on with the power buttons and/or check that the power cords are plugged in.
    2. The signal switch (boxed) should also be turned on after the rack is powered on

  3. SSR-220
    1. The red LED (circled) on the rackmount power strip should be on and devices in the rack's LCD screens should be on
      1. If some devices are still off, turn devices on with their power buttons and/or check that the power cords are plugged in
    2. Indoor Racks Only:
      1. The amplifier is not plugged into the power strip so it may be on when the power strip is switched off
        1. If the amplifier is not on, confirm the power cord is plugged in
        2. If the amplifier logo is green, but the screen is off, press the power button on the back of the amp near the power cable
      2. The signal switch (boxed) should also be turned on after the rack is powered on
         

  4. SSR-300
    1. Ensure the CONTROL RACK key switch is in the ON position (circled)
      1. If the power strip red LED is not on, toggle the red switch (circled) on the power strip. All devices should power on (older models)
      2. If devices are still off, turn the devices on with their power buttons and/or check the power cords are plugged in.
         
    2. The mixer LCD screen should be displaying information and devices in the rack's LCD screens should be on.

  5. Cobranet Fiber Box
    1. ADC1 Media converter
      1. EMOD (older models), the red LED is on (circled A)
      2. Biamp (newer models), the LCD screen is on (circled D)
    2. PWS1 Power Supply, the green LED is on (circled B)
    3. FCC2 Media Converter, the P1 amber LED is on (circled C)
         

  6. Dante Fiber Box
    1. PWS1 Power Supply, green LED is on (circled A)
    2. FCC1 Network Switch,  P1 green LED is on (circled B)
    3. ADC1 Media Converter Glensound AOIP22, ethernet port light is on (circled C)
    4. RTE1 Router, green power LED is on (circled D)
       

  7. Sportsound Cabinet or Control Enclosure
    1. The bottom of the SS500HD, SS550HD, SS1500HD, and SS2050HD control enclosures have a single green LED that is on if power is present
      1. The gen 1 1500HD with plate amplifiers had the LED on the bottom of the speaker enclosure since there was no separate amp enclosure
         
    2. 2000HD built after 2012 do not have a power indicator LED, use Cobranet Discovery to verify power to amps.

  8. LEA Amplifiers
    1. The shark fin logo lights up blue when the amplifier is powered on
      1. Note: if the shark fin logo is green, the power button on the back of the amplifier must be pressed.
