How to apply update to GSIS Interface software

NFL GSIS team has released a new version of the GSIS Interface software containing some security enhancements this is version 5.0.1.29369. 

Environment

  • Product Family:  Stats, Data
  • Product: GSIS Interface, NFL Interface
  • Control System: DSTI

Steps

To receive the update:

  • Start the GSIS Data Interface with Administrator privileges.
    1. Important: When starting the GSIS Data Interface application, select “Run as Administrator”.  This will allow you to successfully apply the version update.

      From a Desktop Shortcut, you may also hold down the SHIFT key and right-click on the shortcut to then select “Run as Administrator”
  • When the Data Interface opens, you will be prompted to update to version 5.0.1.29369.  Select “Yes”:

  • You will see messages that the update files have been downloaded and copied:

    NFL GSIS Data Interface Auto Update Status: Successfully copied all files
  • The Data Interface will then re-open and the title bar at the top of the application will indicate that it is now at version 5.0.1.29369:
