How to verify EDID was cached on intel based LCD player

Topic

  • LCD is blank but monitor seen via DMP.
  • May be unable to change monitor resolution or set to extended.
  • Second monitor may be set as disabled and can not be enabled.
  • Steps below will let us verify the EDID was cached for the connected displays.

Control System:  Venus Control Suite

Steps

  1. Open intel command center.
  2. Click the "System" menu on the left hand side.
  3. Click the "Hardware" menu at the top of the system menu.
  4. If "VirtualScreen" is seen as a monitor, the edid was not properly cached.
