FL-5000: Fuelink 5 (FL5) Radio Intermittent Communication Issues, Radios Still On Channel 0 and Network ID 0

Potential Symptoms

 

  • Prices may appear to push and update from customer POS when first tested, or intermittently, or briefly after power cycling equipment.
  • May be able to update prices manually.

Cause

  • Radios were not configured before being installed, and are still on Channel 0 and NetworkID 0, causing intermittent communications. Do not go by what the status page says as it may show Channel 0 and NetworkID 0 even when they have been set correctly to another value.
  • To see current radio settings go to Configuration > Device, and then click Configure Radio:

Resolution

  • Set the server and client radios to matching Channel and Network ID, and choose a value that is different from 0, instructions on Page 4 of the Fuellink 5 Installation Quick Guide.
