Steps

The Security Hub, available in the Venus Control Suite Displays App, identifies display-connected devices that are publicly accessible from the internet. This feature helps customers and Daktronics teams monitor device exposure and take proactive steps to improve system security.

Access the Security Hub
  1. From the Apps Menu, open the Displays App.

  1. Click the Security Hub tab from the left-hand menu.

View Security Summary
  1. Review the Summary section, which displays the number of Secure and Publicly Accessible displays.

  1. A display is considered Publicly Accessible if one or more ports on its connected device are accessible from the public internet.
  2. Each display tile includes the display name, account name, controller name, and scan timestamp.
Understand the Confidence Score

The Confidence Score is visible in both the Display Security Hub list and the slide-in device details panel. It indicates how likely a detected device is a Daktronics device

  1. Devices with a Confidence Score of 50 or higher are displayed in the Security Hub.
  2. This score helps users assess the reliability of the detection and prioritize follow-up actions.
Filter Display Results
  1. Use the search bar or filters to find specific displays by name, account, or controller.

Review Publicly Accessible Display Details
  1. Click on a listed display marked as Publicly Accessible to view scan results and additional information.

  2. Scan details include detected open ports, controller name, public IP address, and most recent scan time.
