SM-400: Only 2 displays outputting, others are blank, Windows setting incorrect.

Potential Symptoms

  • Replacement SM-400 may have been installed.
  • Correct player profile may be loaded from backup.
  • Content may be running on the DMP interface.
  • DMP Output menu may show a red exclamation mark suggesting an issue with recognizing desktop windows.
  • Bomgar session may only show half of the screens.
  • Intel Command Center may show an emulated monitor as "Disabled".
  • Cannot enable an emulated monitor that is "Disabled".

Cause

  • Windows Display Setting has been switched from "Extend these displays" to "Show only on 1".
    • Cause unknown.

Resolution

  1. Access Windows Display Settings.
    1. Right click anywhere on a blank desktop and click Display Settings.
  2. Scroll and find the drop down that controls Windows Project.
    1. This will likely say Show only on 1.
    2. Change to Extend these displays.
  3. Confirm the Intel Command Center shows 2 emulated monitors.
