Venus Displays: How to backup devices in Venus Control Suite?

Admin users can manage device backups for displays directly in Venus Control Suite.

Steps

Open the Displays App and Access Backups
  1. Open Venus Displays App from the Apps Menu located in the top right of the VCS landing page.
  2. Select a display from the Displays page. 
  3. Click on the Devices tab. 
  4. Locate the Device Backups section.

  1. Click on a backup to open the Backup Details slide-in menu. 
Label and Lock Your Backup
  1. Enter a name for the backup in the Backup Label.
  2. Select Locked or Unlocked.  ⚠️Users can lock up to three backups. A locked backup file will not be overwritten with a new backup file.
    • Locking backups can be helpful when troubleshooting or capturing when the device is in an optimal state. 
    • The last 5-6 automatic backups are kept for each device but then the next auto-backup overwrites older backups, so locking a backup ensures it is always available and cannot be overwritten.

Download or Delete a Backup
  1. Select Download to download a backup file.
  2. Click Delete to permanently remove a backup. 
  3. Press Confirm to Save.
