Steps

    485 Loopback Test
    • 2 paper clips or small conductors.
    • Small flathead screw driver (eyeglass or jeweler's size)
    1. If white 4 pin cable is connected to FL5 Controller remove. 
    2. Connect Sign 1 RS-485 + to Sign 2 RS-485 +
    3. Connect Sign 1 RS-485 - to Sign 2 RS-485 -
    4. Run 485 Loopback test
    485 Port A/B Internal Loopback – These tests check internal function of the transceivers
    1. Remove all signal cables (white 4 pin and terminal block) from FL5 Controller. 
    2. Run 485 Port A/B Internal Loopback
    232 Port Loopback -Point of Sale
      • 1 paper clips or small conductors.
      • Small flathead screw driver (eyeglass or jeweler's size).
    1. Connect pins 2 and 3 on the POINT OF SALE jack on the side of the FL5 Controller.
