Cause

  • The email address is already being used for another VCS account.
    • Every VCS User needs to use a different email address. 
    • The person inviting a new user does not see any error, the VCS error does not manifest until a new user tries to associate the email address to a VCS account using the invitation.

Resolution

  • Use a different email address for each VCS account
