How to replace antenna cable inside a wireless All Sport console with a Gen V radio

  • Product:  All Sport 1600, 3000, 5000 series Wireless console (Gen 5 or earlier ONLY)

  • Control System: Wireless All Sport console

Steps

***Note*** Gen 6 is not field serviceable

  1. Verify this All Sport is one that has a Gen V radio. If it is not then contact Tech Support. If you are not sure then contact Tech Support.
    1. You can tell by looking at the Assembly Number that should be on a sticker on the back of the console. If what you see matches one of these then you can proceed: 0A-1196-0112, 0A-1196-0113, 0A-1196-0105, 0A-1196-0106 or 0A-1196-0161.
  2. Setup at a workstation as best as you can to eliminate static electricity causing any damages to components in the All Sport.
  3. Make sure console is off with power cable removed from wall outlet or battery pack removed if applicable.

  4. Remove top back screws on both sides of All Sport console.  

  5. Loosen the middle screws of console keypad on both sides.

  6. Roll metal cover forward (be careful not to ruin the ribbon cable).

  7. Cut the zip tie on the cable (located on right side of console).
  8. Pull cable connector straight out.
  9. Replace with new cable.
  10. Screw on antenna.
