How to Log In and Set Up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) in Venus Control Suite

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is an industry-standard security measure that adds an extra layer of protection to your account when logging in. It helps keep your account protected by requiring a second method of authentication (such as a text message or authenticator app), even if your password is compromised.

We are rolling out MFA to all eligible Venus Control Suite accounts starting in May 2025. If you do not see MFA enrollment prompts immediately, rest assured that it will be available soon as we continue onboarding all Venus users.

Environment

  • Product: Venus BasicVenus Select, Venus Professional, Venus Enterprise
  • Components: Venus Pro Ad Grid, Venus Pro Playlist
  • Control System: Venus Cloud-Based

Steps

How to Log In and Enroll in MFA

  1. Log in using your current Venus Control Suite credentials.

  1. If prompted to migrate your account:

    1. Confirm or enter your email address

    2. Enter the verification code sent to your email

    3. Confirm or update your first and last name

    4. Set a new password

  1. Log back in with your new credentials.

  1. Choose a Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) method:

    1. Authenticator App

    2. Text Message (SMS)

    3. Voice Call to receive a code via phone call
  1. Scan the QR code (for Authenticator App) or enter your phone number to use for SMS messaging.

  2. Enter the code from your Authenticator App or SMS message.

  3. Accept the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) agreement to complete login

MFA Enrollment Notes

  • A valid email is required to complete MFA.
  • Authenticator App is the most reliable option and is supported globally.
    • The United States and many other countries support SMS for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). However, not all regions are eligible to receive SMS verification codes.
    • Important: If you're in a country where SMS is not supported, you may see a message that says a verification code was sent — but you will not receive a text. This is due to country restrictions on SMS delivery.
    • The Authenticator App (Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.) is globally supported and is the recommended method for all users.
    • If you are unable to use the Authenticator App and require SMS access, please contact Daktronics Support so we can review and escalate your request if necessary.
  • MFA enrollment can be skipped up to three times, after which it becomes required.
  • Once enrolled, MFA is required at every login.
