Daktronics Creative Services uses the latest Adobe Creative Cloud tools for all projects. If purchasing templated files, you must own/ purchase this software and understand how to use it to update the files accordingly. Training resources are available on Adobe's website if needed.
Steps
Here’s a step-by-step process for registering the license for your ftUVPass Plugin after purchase.
Copy the registration code from https://aescripts.com/ft-uvpass/
- Log into your account. and select your username in the top right corner.
- Under Browse Categories, locate My Account.
- Click on My Downloads & Licenses.
- Locate your FT-UV Pass code from the list.
- Copy or download to apply in After Effects.
Navigate to the Registration portion in After Effects.
- Open the After Effects project: Open the After Effects project with the layer that has the ftUVPass plugin applied. If such a project is not available, create a new one and apply the plugin to a layer.
- Locate the layer: In the Project panel, search for “Headshot – Number”. Double-click on the comp to open it in the Composition panel. In the timeline panel for “Headshot – Number” comp select layer 9 “test-4-uvw_uvw_1_[0000-0090].png”
- Open the Effects Control panel: The Effects Control panel is typically located on the right-hand side of the After Effects interface.
- Select the ftUVPass plugin: In the Effects Control panel, select the ftUVPass plugin.
Activate the registration
- Open the registration window: Click the "Options" button in the Effects Control panel to open the registration window.
- Enter the license key: Copy and paste your license key into the field "Insert License number here"
- Activate the plugin: Click the "Activate" button.
- Verify the plugin: After activation, the ftUVPass plugin should be working correctly. Check the layer in the Composition panel to ensure that the white X is no longer visible.
Troubleshooting
If you are having problems with the new plugin loading, you can try the following:
- Close out of the Game Threads project and reopen it.
- Close out of After Effects completely reopen AE and The Game Threads project files.
