Show Control: No communication to DMP-8000, disconnected ethernet cable from SC computer to the rack

Potential Symptoms

  • Red status in display studio stating that there is no communication to the DMP-8000.
  • Customer recently moved the Show Control computer onto their hardwired network.

Cause

  • The customer hardwired the show control computer directly to their network and disconnected it from the rack.

Resolution

  1. Reconnect the show control computer to the router/switch in the rack. The customer has the option of running their network to the rack but we need a hardwired connection from the Show Control computer to the Daktronics equipment.
