Data Studio: Gameday procedures with Virtius competition software?

Virtius is an online competition software for gymnastics that uses web streaming technologies for judges scoring.

Steps

Virtius is web-based platform that can be accessed from any device that connects to a browser. They provide JSON and XML API outputs.

Add the API link to the Data Studio > Data Sources.

  1. Obtain the competition link from Virtius.The JSON/XML addresses are per session (competition). Each session has a unique URL.
  2. Add the link as a Data Source Data Studio: How do I configure web data sources? Either link should be able to drop into Daktronics Data Studio.

  1. Click on Data Trimming. 
  2. Select Data Properties, Check all. 
  3. Click Done. 
  4. Save the new data source.

Verify Data Studio Sources.

  1. In Data Studio, select the source to view the feeds.
  2. Under Feeds, click on the paper clip.

  1. Click on the paper clip icon to view the feed details.  
  2. Sections can be collapsed and expanded to make searching easier.
