Media Content Library: How do I edit my headshot templates?

  • How do I edit templated files from Daktronics Creative Services?

Environment

  • Adobe After Effects
  • Custom Game Threads head shots and match up templates.
  • BU Game Threads 2023 

Daktronics Creative Services uses the latest Adobe Creative Cloud tools for all projects.  If purchasing templated files, you must own/ purchase this software and understand how to use it to update the files accordingly.  Training resources are available on Adobe's website if needed.  

 

In this example the folder structure will be for "BU Game Threads 2023"

Steps

Navigate to Headshots under the Essential Graphics menu. 
Verify that you are on the Headshots preview template. The folder should be under BU > Headshots > BU-Headshot - Preview.

Essential Graphics

Edit the following, be sure to leave the font and sizes as they are. 

  1. Update the player number.
  2. Update the player first name and last name. 
    1. For longer names, change the font to a condensed version. 
    2. For shorter names, use an extended font. 
  3. Update the player Stat 1.
  4. Update the player Stat 2.

Replacing the player's image

  1. Navigate to Game Threads > Headshot > Edit > Headshot > Player Source
  2. Double click on the player source. 
  3. Drag the new image onto your layout.  This should be a cutout.  Be sure to center the player's face. 
  4. Preview the composition as needed.
