VCS Content with Multiple Playlists not Playing in the Correct Order, Adjust Playlist Priority

Potential Symptoms

  • Playlists with content that the customer does not want playing back to back are playing back to back.

Environment

  • Products: Galaxy, GalaxyPro, GS6, GC6, Electronic Message Center (EMC), Marquee, Readerboard, Electronic Message Board (EMB), Display, M2, M3, M4 Controller based products, Billboards
  • Components:
  •  Control System: Venus Control Suite

Cause

  • Playlist priority order is incorrect.

Resolution

  1. Under Scheduling, switch your playlist view from List to Priority.
  2. Adjust the order of the playlist as needed.
    1. You will also need to verify if each playlist is set to Play All Files or Play one File.
  3. Confirm the order is correct by checking your Scheduled Content on the left hand vertical bar.
