  • How To use the SS Monitor Panels for the new Dante-controlled SportSound systems?
  • Around September of 2022 SportSound systems made a change to using a Dante based system for communication. This KB is instructions on how to install and use the new SSMonitor Panel for Dante controlled SportSound systems.

  • Product: SportSound 200, 500HD, 1500HD, 2050HD, SSN-150, SSN-250

Steps

The window size of the application is set to 1200x960, so the machine monitor resolution may need to be adjusted if smaller than this.

  1. Use How To determine the series/version of Sportsound product on site KB to verify the system is controlled by Dante.
  2. Install SSMonitorPanels on computer connected to sound system network. Can be found at:
  3. Once installed Run SportsoundMonitorPanels from desktop or start menu.
  4. Select the system that you are testing.

  1. Follow the instructions in the Information tab.

  1. Impedance values should appear green if drivers are healthy, they will turn red if there is a problem with the drivers.  Reference the values listed in the information tab for normal values.
  2. For a more detailed look at driver health, an impedance sweep can be performed by clicking the Advanced tab at the bottom of the panel and running a sweep.  This will graph the driver's impedance value at various frequencies and allow comparison to a reference value.
