RE3 Wireless Mic Receiver is not receiving audio, but does turn on and shows RF signal

Potential Symptoms

There will be a combination of the following symptoms:
  1. Receiver turns on, but the display may be dim and hard to read
  2. Receiver shows RF signal coming in, but no audio level when talking into the microphone
  3. Receiver antenna indicator shows X instead of A or B
  4. Receiver indicates MUTE on the left side of the screen

Cause

The wrong power supply is being used.  The receiver may still power on and will appear to function, but things will not work quite as expected.
The receiver requires 12-15VDC 500mA minimum with center pin positive.  

Resolution

Locate the correct power supply that shipped with the receiver.
