Communication error when updating displays with two DM-100 at same time, two client FLXR4s on same structure, Unknown

Potential Symptoms

  • Two client radios in one structure
  • No communication to the displays.
  • Server radio shows searching.
  • Error 5
  • None or part of 9 price structure updates price
  • Able to update prices on each set of gas pricers one at a time using "Update Display" but if try to press Update Display on one DM-100 while the other is sending prices, both DM-100s show comm failure

Cause

  • Unknown, suspect radios near each other interfere with each other when a POS system uses 2 DM-100s to send prices to 2 client radios in same structure at same time.

Resolution

  • Move client radios as far apart on the structure as feasible
    • If already as far apart as possible, resolution unknown

For Temporary Operation

  • Press "Update display" on one DM-100, verify it sends prices without errors, wait for DM-100 to resume showing Price 1/Line 1, then press "Update Display" on second DM-100
