DakStats Rodeo: How to setup with Omni Sport 2000 to a Galaxy Via Ethernet

Topic

  • Setting up Rodeo Timing to talk to a Galaxy Via Ethernet connection.

Environment

  • Product: AF-3400, EBR, Omni Sport 2000
  • Component: DakStats Rodeo
  • Control System: Venus 1500 Version 3, Display Studio, DCS

Steps

When setting up Rodeo with a Galaxy board or SSL the Omni Sport 2000 will be connected to the computer that has DakStat Rodeo installed on it.  The Omni Sport will have a 9-pin serial cable connected to the computer where it will be configured to run into DCS and broadcast a UDP feed on port 3002.  The DakStats program will then have its timer input setup as port 3002 and its output will need a 5000-offset setup on it.  Venus or Display studio connections and communications need to be setup as normal operations.

👉If the computer that is being used has a loop back adapter setup in the local area connections, this will need to be disabled.  If the local area connection is set to be bridged with the loop back adapter this will need to be unbridged.
