How to setup port forwarding on VFC

Steps

  1. Follow DD3564187 to setup the IP config first -http://www.daktronics.com/support/kb/Pages/DD3564187.aspx
  2. Login to the VFC.
  3. Select the Sign to be updated (example: sign1, sign 2, etc)
  4. Select Configuration.
  5. Select Communication.
  6. Select Ethernet.
  7. Select Port: port.png
  8. Change the port to desired setting
  9. Log out of controller by pressing the cancel button until back at login screen.
  10. Afterwards each sign is asisgned its own port the sign can be reached individually with port forwarding (example 123.45.67.89:10)
  • Note: Each display will need a separate port but the IP address of the VFC will remain the same.  (Default ports starting with sign 1: 161, 46002, 46003, etc)
    • Each VCB in each display will need its own hardware address.  Sign 1 = 0, Sign 2 =1, Sign 3 = 2, etc
  • DMS layout for multiple signs via fiber run:
    • Fiber should be run between both ports A and B on the VFC and VCB. 
      • Port A on VFC to Port A on VCB, and Port B on VFC to Port B on VCB. Examples below.
