Steps

  1. Configure the computer’s IP address for the same subnet as the radio’s IP.
  2. Access the Server radio via web browser to confirm signal strength to client radios.
    1. Navigate to the server radio’s IP address (example: http://192.168.0.30).
    2. Enter the radio password to gain access to the advanced diagnostics and configuration.
      1. The default password is password.
    3. Confirm you are able to access the server radio.
      1. Note 1: As long as you are connected to the server radio and there is a good connection to the client radio/s you can browse to any of those client radio/s config page via their IP address (example: http://192.168.0.31) 
      2. Note 2: You want to change the client radio/s channel information first before changing the server radio’s channel otherwise you won’t be able to connect up to the client radio/s and will have to manually change the channel information on the client radio/s, see steps below if needed.
  3. Access the Client radio via web browser.
    1. Navigate to the client radio's IP address (example: Http://192.168.0.3X, X=1, X=2)
      1. Enter the radio password to gain access to the advanced diagnostics and configuration.
        1. The default password is password.
      2. Click the Radio tab and set the “Channel” to whatever channel is applicable.
      3. Click Apply.
  4. Repeat steps 3.2 and 3.3 on the server radio to set its channel to match what the client radio/s channel were set to.

  • If needing to manually set the client radio’s channel see the following steps:
  1. Change the client radio number by pressing the reset button, shown in Figure 9, for 5 seconds to enter configuration mode.

  2. Wait about 15 seconds until the LCD shows “SU ID set to X”. This message remains on the LCD for about 5 seconds. After 5 seconds, the LCD shows “CH #Y”. Y represents the current channel number (1-18 or Auto).
  3. Set the client radio to the desired CH to match what the server radio is set to. The options are CH #1-18.  Wait 5 seconds and the LCD shows “Ch #” set to “X”.
