Content uploading with %C3%97 instead of the letter x
Potential Symptoms
- Content file name includes a resolution that uploads with the wrong name.
- ex 1600x900 uploads as 1600%C3%97900.
- ex 1600 x 900 uploads as 1600 %C3%97 900.
- Content preview might show "No Content is playing at this time" in Venus Control Suite Dashboard.
- Content may show as blank on the display.

Cause
- Image editor used to create content is using the multiplication symbol instead of the letter x to create file name.
- Venus Control Suite is unable read the multiplication symbol so it's being converted into its hex code of %C3%97.
- Using special characters in content titles may case other issues seen.
Resolution
- Unknown. Contact the developer of your image editor software to see if image names can be created using the letter "x" by default instead of the multiplication symbol.
- If content is blank on the display, update the DMP firmware to the latest version. Contact Daktronics technical support for assistance.
For Temporary Operation
- Rename content before uploading to Venus Control Suite to not include special characters.
