Error 1053 when trying to start Daktronics Diagnostics DataCollectors Service, Service will not start; Time out of Sync

Potential Symptoms

  • Receive Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion when trying to start Diagnostic DataCollectors Service
  • Service will not start after repeated attempts.
  • Communication Failure on DMP reported in IDM
  • Computer time out slightly out of sync

Cause

There is a discrepancy in time sync between the local computer and IDM service

Resolution

Ensure DMP has time servers defined and set to active within the DMP web interface
