Why does the price on my presentation in Venus Control Suite not match what is on the display?

  • Why does the price on my presentation in Venus Control Suite not match what is on the display and the DM-100?

  • Product Family: Digit and Price displays, Message Displays
  • Product: GS6 or GP4 getting price information from a DM-100
  • Component: VCS Content Studio
  • Control System: Venus Control Suite (VCS)

Steps

  • The price you see in Venus Control Suite and Content Studio is only a placeholder.
  • It is not the actual price. It is there to give you an idea how the display will look with a price on it.
  • The display gets the price it shows from your PoS System or manually from the DM-100. It doesn't get the price from Venus Control Suite. The Gas Price Element you add to your presentation tells the display where to put the price.
  • It's possible to change the placeholder numbers. Again, it will only change the placeholder numbers and not the price. Click on the Gas Price Element in your presentation. See the picture below for how to change it. Placeholder.jpg
