The Daktronics Stream Deck plugin facilitates a swift and straightforward integration with Display Studio elements. Users can directly link Display Studio buttons to Stream Deck keys, bypassing the need for hotkey configuration.
Moreover, Stream Deck keys set up through the Daktronics plugin remain operational even when Display Studio is minimized. This enables one to create content in Content Studio while concurrently activating content.

Steps
Stream Deck Plugin for Show Control Integration
Uninstall previous (if existing)
Previous versions of the plugin need to be uninstalled before the update. There were 2 methods that the previous could of been installed. Follow the appropriate process for your installation. If not sure, attempt both methods of uninstalling the plugin.

Option 1: Select Uninstall from the Show Control installer
Find the Show Control Trigger plugin under Daktronics Show Control and right-click on it and select Uninstall.
Option 2: Delete the Stream Deck folder.
- Close the Stream Deck application by locating it in the notification tray and right-clicking on the button array icon and select Quit Stream Deck.
- Open Windows Explorer and navigate to C:\Program Files\Elgato\StreamDeck\Plugins then look for a folder com.daktronics.showcontrolstreamdeck.sdPlugin and delete the folder and all of its contents if it exists.
- Restart the Stream Deck application from the Start menu from the Elgato folder.
You should now be ready to install the new version of the plugin. You can start here if you have never installed the Show Control plugin previously.
Install with new installer:
Check the version. The Stream Deck application should be version 5.0 or later. It is advised to update to the most recent version if possible. Do this by clicking on the gear icon at the top of the screen.

- Move the downloaded file to the folder: C:\Program Files\Elgato\StreamDeck\Plugins
- Right-click on the file and select Open or double click on the file to start the installation process. A dialog box will verify the to start the installation.

The Show Control Tigger plugin should now be installed.
Configure Buttons
You are now set to configure buttons on the Stream Deck to trigger buttons in Show Control. Ensure that Display Studio is operational on the same system where the Stream Deck application is installed, and that the Stream Deck device is connected to this system.
- Locate an open button on the Stream Deck application grid.
- Drag the Show Control Tigger plugin out to that button.
- This will select the first button on the first workspace. View all in the list labeled WrkSpc.
- If the workspace settings aren’t in the list click on the Refresh button and wait about 10 seconds, depending on the size of your Show Control database.
- Select the Show Control Workspace, Page, Container, Tab and lastly Button you want to associate this Stream Deck button with.
- Type in a Title for this button including new lines by hitting the Enter key to get the name to show up on the button properly.

Press the new button on the Stream Deck device to verify that the functionality of the Show Control button. You will not see any messages in Display Studio indicating that the button was executed.
