Content Studio: Unable to add new RSS or XML data source

Potential Symptoms

  • RSS-  Failed to create the Syndication package 
  • XML- Object reference not set to an instance of the object
  • Content Studio failure when trying to add RSS data source
  • Unable to create new Data Server feeds. 

 

Environment

  • Product: Content Studio version 1 and version 2
  • Component: New RSS, Atom or XML data sources
  • Control System: Venus Control Suite hosted environment

Cause

Daktronics hosted Venus Control Suite environments no longer supports new Data Server Feeds in Content Studio. All existing feeds will continue to function as normal.
