Display Modules: Multiple modules blank or discolored.

Potential Symptoms

  • Module(s) discolored on the display, all connect to same hub board.
  • Calibrating module makes no change, remains discolored.
  • Moving receiver card issue remains in same location.
  • Moving module to different panel and now modules connected to the same hub board in this location become discolored or blank.

Environment

  • NPN-6200, NPN-5200

Cause

  • Bad module causing the rest of the modules on the hub board to display issues.
  • Bad module showing as a different coloration or intensity.

Resolution

  • Swap one module from the hub board that has one bad module, with another module from a different hub board (with all "good" mods).
  • disconnect power to the display and power back up (ensure you have 20 second wait between power break and re-attach)
    • Note: this is required as calibration is only sent on power up of the panel
  • If the coloration shifts from the original location to the location that you swapped modules with, the module you just moved is the bad one.
  • If the discoloration stays in the original panel, repeat steps with another module within the impacted hub board.
  • Repeat steps until module is found.
