Content Studio: "Save Presentation to Media Library" (VCS directly) instead of DMP-8000's "Content" folder (DMP directly)

Potential Symptoms

  • Receiving prompt in Content Studio to "Save Presentation to Media Library" (VCS directly) instead of Windows Explorer view to DMP-8000's "Content" folder (DMP directly)
  • Unable to save Content Studio content directly to the DMP-8000's Content Folder
  • Content is saving directly to VCS
  • Unable to script to content from Display Studio as content is not saving to DMP-8000's Content folder

Cause

  • Content Studio v2.14.1.4 bundled with Display Studio 2.29.0.28 pulls in VCS Display Names and DMP-8000 players now

Resolution

  • When starting a New Presentation in Content Studio make sure in Select Display Wizard to select the display/zone under the DMP-8000 player name not the display/zone under the VCS Display name for the size display/zone you are creating a New Presentation piece of content for.
    • Hints
      • DMP-8000 player names will not contain any spaces
        • For example "Live-Clips-1" or "D8Main-P"
      • VCS Display names can contain spaces and probably will if two or more word names
        • For example "Live Clips 1A" or "Main Video"
