Steps

⚠️Microsoft SQL server is not backwards compatible. Be sure to check Microsoft SQL versions on each computer; the computer the database is being transferred to must have equal to or greater than SQL versions than the computer the database is being transferred from. Ex. If original database is using SQL2014, it cannot be loaded to a computer using SQL2008 or SQL2005.

  1. Determine operating system and locate Nucleus Database Utility as shown below. To determine if Windows 32-bit or 64-bit, please refer to How do I tell what type of Windows Operating System my computer is running?
    • 32 Bit System: C:\Program Files\Daktronics\Nucleus Server\Database Utility\
    • 64 Bit System: C:\Program Files (x86)\Daktronics\Nucleus Server\Database Utility
  2. Double-click on Daktronics Database Utility.

  1. Click the Save button.
  2. Save the backup file —browse to a desired location to save or backup the database such as Shared/Network Drive, Flash Drive and/or desktop, click Save. (the file will look like this: Backup.nucbak )
Performing a load/restore

Considerations

    1. If running a 32-bit version of Windows, Nucleus Database Utility.exe is installed at [Program Files]\Daktronics\Nucleus Server\Database Utility. If running a 64-bit version of Windows, the Nucleus Database Utility will be in [Program Files (x86)]\Daktronics\Nucleus Server\Database Utility.
    2. The database backup includes all data files and content for M3 widget, it may take several minutes if the system has many files.
