  • How do I shorten my presentations?

Environment

  • Product Family: Software
  • Product: Message Displays
  • Component: Content Studio
  • Control System: Venus 1500 V4

Steps

  1. Open Venus 1500
  2. Select the Content tab to view existing messages.
    • If multiple displays are available, select the desired display that has the messages that need to be changed and then select the Content tab.
  3. Double Click desired message to change to edit in Content Studio.
  4. Message will open in Content Studio.
  5. When message is opened in Content Studio, change the mode from Layout Storyboard mode to Timeline mode.
    • Will need to be in Timeline mode to make changes to the length of the message.
  6. When in Timeline mode, user will see different layers which include the Layout layer (which appears grey), and other layers (which will appear either yellow or red depending on what is in the layer).
  7. To change the length of the message, hover mouse over the End of the layer until the cursor changes to a line with arrows at either end.
  8. The End of the layer will have a grey looking bar at the end and this is what will need to be hovered over.
  9. When Cursor has changed, left click the End of the layer and either move the layer to the right (which will make the message longer) or move the layer to the Left (which makes the message shorter).
  10. In order to change the length of the message, change the length of the other layers below the Layout layer to the desired time in order to change the Layout layer.
    • To completely change the message length, the Layout layer needs to be the desired length.
  11. Once the change in length has been made, save the message.
