How to adjust auto/manual dimming modes using key fob, FL-3000/4500

Environment

Product: FL-3000, FL-4500,
Component:
Control System: FLR3-100 Key Fob (Wireless Communication Option)

Resolution

Step 1: Enter configuration mode for auto/manual brightness.

  1. Press and hold the down arrow on Line 1(SYNC) and the up arrow on Line 4(TEST).  The below picture illustrates the buttons that should be pressed.
Step 2: Set Auto or Manual Option.
  1. In the configuration mode, use the up or down arrow on line 1(SYNC) to switch modes from Auto to Manual.
    • Manual mode will display Set (Ser) on the display.
    • Automatic mode will display Aut (Aur) on the display
  2. Notes:
    • The FLR3-100 should always be using the Automatic mode. We recommend setting it back to that when you are done.
    • When you enter this Configuration Mode it may look like a looping pattern on the host display. You should see the acronyms for which mode its on in that pattern. You'll should still be able to change Modes and see the change. You should be able to change the brightness of the display when in Manual Mode.
    • When in Manual Mode, use the + and - buttons next to 2 to change the brightness of the displays.
Step 3: Exit configuration mode.
    1. Press and hold the down arrow on Line 1(SYNC) and the up arrow on Line 4(TEST).

Note: This article is to be kept Internal and not External as we don't want customers setting their displays off of Automatic Mode as most cities have display brightness ordinances to follow and this could cause issues if the displays aren't Auto Dimming correctly at night.
