Potential Symptoms
How do I enable traps in Vanguard V4 Pro?
Environment
- Product: VF,VX, VM
- Component: Software, VFC-3000
- Control System: Vanguard Professional or Vanguard Standard Software
Resolution
1. Open System Configuration.
2. Select Manage Displays.
3. Select sign from list that will have traps enable on and select edit properties.
4. Select the Network tab.
5. Check Enable sign callback to enable traps.
6. Enter the desired number in the Callback port that coincides with the controller.
Configuring Traps in Vanguard Standard:
1. Select System options.
2. Select System Configuration.
3. Select Manage Displays.
4. Select sign from list that will have traps enable on and select edit properties.
5. Select the Network tab.
6. Check Enable sign callback to enable traps.
7. Enter the desired number in the Callback port that coincides with the controller.
VFC-3000 configuration
- Controller's Central IP Port needs to match Callback port in software.
- Access IP Settings in VFC-3000 to set Central IP Port
2. Access Configuration.
3. Access Communication Configuration.
4. Access Ethernet Control Port.
5. Access Traps. Select setting per desired scenario. (EXAMPLE: ENABLE SOFTWARE PULL OVER TCP)
6. Access IP Settings.
7. Access Central IP Port.
8. Enter new number and press Enter on keypad.
9. Press Cancel on keypad to back out of menu. Controller will initiate a Software Reset and save new number.
