Display Studio Status Error red, Unable to validate credentials, time out of syn, Daktronics Show Control System

Potential Symptoms

  • Display Studio has RED status button.
  • No players will sync to the workspace. (Server machine may still function properly.)
  • Status error states the following on the client(s):  "Unable to validate credentials.  Verify SQL Server (Nucleus) is running on the Show Control Server."

Environment

Cause

  • Date/Time is not synced between the server and client(s) SCS computers.
    • Best practice is to ensure that clocks on all control equipment is within a couple minutes of each other.

Resolution

  1. Sync the Date/Time between computers using Internet Time Server, or by manually adjusting each clock to within a minute of each other.
  2. Reboot both server and client(s) after making changes.
