Unable to publish messages to a Galaxy Pro display with working communications, Corrupt database in Venus 1500 v4.22

Potential Symptoms

  • Unable to publish messages to a Galaxy Pro display with Venus 1500 v4, but able to communicate with the display just fine.
  • Receive a "Venus 1500 has encountered a problem and needs to close" error when publishing content to the sign.
  • When publishing messages to the display it stalls or hangs on sending the display .vsml.
  • This request operation sent to net.pipe://localhost/Daktronics/Nucleus/CommonPlayerFiles did not receive a reply within the configured timeout (00.30.00). Alert in Venus 1500 v4.

Cause

  • Corrupt database in Venus 1500 v4.22.

Resolution

  • Run a repair to the Venus 1500 software then publish content to the display.
