Cannot update prices on the display inside store; J-box wiring

Potential Symptoms

  • Unable to communicate with display through indoor J-Box, but outdoor J-box will update display.
  • DM-100 may read: No bidirectional link detected.
  • DM-100 may read: Display Error No Response -5.

Environment

  • Product: Fuelight, FL-3000, FL-4500, Gas Price or Petroleum Price Display, FL digit product
  • Component: DM-100 handheld
  • Control System: FLD3-2000, Direct wire

Cause

  • Incorrect or loose wiring on TB2 of indoor J-Box or TB1 of outdoor J-Box.

Resolution

  • Wire indoor J-box and/or outdoor J-box as follows, JBX1 being the indoor J-Box and JBX2 being the outdoor J-Box:
    • Ensure all wire connections are tight and not seated on the shielding.
