Wireless Gyrus Scoreboard FTFU; Able to control top half of scoreboard but bottom half is blank, radio receiver plugged into secondary driver

Potential Symptoms

  • Able to control top half but not bottom half in a two or three driver scoreboard.
  • Bottom half of scoreboard is blank but does go through proper POST.
  • On the master driver (A2-Bottom half), the DS1 LED is not lit (RS-232/Radio).
    • There is no connection to J21. 
  • On the secondary driver (A1 or A3-Top half), the DS1 LED is lit (RS-232/Radio)
    • Radio cable is plugged into J21.

Cause

  • Radio receiver is plugged into port J21 of the secondary driver. Because it is plugged into the secondary driver, the signal is not able to output to the master driver.

Resolution

  • Plug the radio receiver into port J21 of the master driver.
