All Sport Lite App: How do I operate a baseball scoreboard?

Topic

  • How do I operate a baseball scoreboard with All Sport Lite (formerly DAK Score)?

Environment

  • Product: All Sport Lite (formerly DAK Score) app
  • Components:
  • Control System: Scoreboard with All Sport MX-1

Steps

  1. After connecting to the MX-1, tap the main menu button (Menu Button.png), and select Settings. Under Select Sport, ensure Baseball is selected. If it is not, select it and tap OK.
  2. Set the Configuration as needed. Certain scoreboards have variable stats. Smaller scoreboards will have one variable stat; larger inning-by-inning scoreboards will have one or two variable stats in the upper-left and/or upper-right digits.

    Left Stat Displayed:

    • 2 digit time
    • Player at bat (default)
    • Pitch count

    Right Stat Displayed:

    • Hit/Error indicator (default)
    • Player at bat
    • Pitch count

Note 1: If operating a small scoreboard that only features one variable stat, use the Left Stat Displayed options, regardless of where the digits are located on the scoreboard.
Note 2: If pitch count is selected once, it will alternate between home and guest pitch counts. If pitch count is selected twice, Guest pitch count is always on the left, and Home pitch count is always on the right. If operating a small scoreboard that only features one variable stat, DO NOT select pitch count twice; use the Left Stat Displayed to ensure it alternates between home and guest.
Note 3: At this time, it is not possible to display Speed of Pitch (SOP) information using the app. A separate All Sport 5000 console and radar gun equipment is required.

  3. Tap Back to save the settings and begin baseball operation.
  4. By default, the application opens in a basic scoring mode which is suitable for most small scoreboards:

  5. Tap the outward facing arrows () to expose additional scoring functions as needed, typically for larger inning-by-inning scoreboards:

Note: Tap the inward facing arrows () to return to the basic scoring mode.

  6. Tap the BALL, STRIKE, and OUT values to track the current at bat. Tap the Clear Count button to quickly remove all balls and strikes.
  7. Use the +1 and -1 buttons to adjust the total team scores. In the expanded scoring mode, tap the inning number in the linescore to select the inning to edit, and use the appropriate HOME and GUEST + / - buttons to edit the scores. Note that it is only possible to adjust scores for the current inning or previous innings that have already been played.
  8. Use the left and right arrows to move from the top of the inning to the bottom and on to the next inning.
  9. When the batter reaches a base, select whether it was via Hit or Err.
  10. Tap the Batter Number to enter the current batter number using the onscreen keypad if the scoreboard is configured to display this information.

  11. Tap PC to add a pitch to the appropriate team's pitch count if the scoreboard is configured to display this information. Tap the settings button () followed by -1 to subtract a pitch.
  12. Tap ERR to add an error for the appropriate team if the scoreboard is configured to display this information. Tap the settings button () followed by -1 to subtract an error.
  13. Tap HIT to add a hit for the appropriate team if the scoreboard is configured to display this information. Tap the settings button () followed by -1 to subtract a hit.
