    • Refer to the modem's user manual for steps on accessing the web configuration page.
    • For steps on accessing the web configuration, please contact Daktronics Technical Support at 1-800-325-8766 or via My Support.
  2. From the Status tab -> About, verify the current ALEOS Software Version.
    • Note: The firmware download page well tell you if you need to step up firmwares. Here are general situations we have seen.
      • (RV50) If the current version is 4.3.4 or newer, update directly to the newest version.
      • (RV50) If the current version is 4.3.3 or earlier, you will need to update to 4.3.4 first, then repeat these steps to update to the newest version.
      • (RV50X) If the current version is 4.15 or earlier, you will need to update to 4.16 first, then repeat steps to update to the newest version.
  3. Locate and download the appropriate firmware(s) from the Sierra Wireless website,
  4. Click the Software and Firmware button.
  5. On the Software and Firmware window that opened, click the Choose File or Browse button and locate the ALEOS file that you downloaded.
  6. Click the Update button.
  7. The ALEOS update runs automatically.
  8. Prior to the applying portion of the update it will ask for the Radio Module Firmware. Click the Choose File or Browse button and locate the Radio Module Firmware file you downloaded and click the upload button directly below.
  9. The modem will automatically reboot when the update is complete, the reboot will take a few minutes to complete and for the modem to come back online.
  10. Once the modem is back online, log in again and verify that the device is now on the newest firmware.

Note: After each firmware update it is strongly recommended to also update all passwords on the modem.
