Venus Accounts: What rights are associated with the different user roles in Venus Control Suite?

  • Control System: Venus Cloud-Based

Steps

There are 3 types of user roles within Venus Control Suite 

Administrator: Full access to all features and functionality of this account.  Able to create and modify user accounts. 

  • Display Owner admin have full rights
  • This role would be ideal for a display owner, manager, or IT manager.

Standard: Access to all day-to-day operations, content and schedule creation, reporting and diagnostics for this account. 

  • Standard users are able to operate the display based on the configuration applied by the admin.  
  • This role would be ideal for an assistant manager or secretary, or office manager

Basic: Access is limited to creating content (not scheduling), previewing/viewing content and settings, and running reports.

  • Basic users are able to create and upload media but unable to schedule. They can also review monitoring to see what is currently running on the display.
  • This role would be ideal for a student or beginner who needs an Administrator or Standard user to review and schedule content.
