Environment
- Product: VS6 Display
- Display Interface Boards (PLR's)
- Component: DMP or VFC controller, USB memory stick/thumb drive (loaded with translation table)
- Control System: Vanguard Professional or Standard software
Steps
- Login to the VFC controller, either locally at the LCD screen or through the NTCIP (Car) Icon in the DMP web interface.
- Select Sign 1.
- Select Configuration.
- Select System.
- Select Required.
- Select Model.
- Select GS6.
- Select Access.
- Select Front.
- Select Module.
- Select Full Color.
- Select ProLink5.
- Select your module size. For example, 16x20.
- Enter the Pixel Pitch.
- Will typically be 20. Utilize the Site Configuration sheet/module part number and description to verify.
- Select Pixel Height and Pixel Width and enter the proper display dimensions. Refer to configuration drawing/display assembly number to determine these numbers.
- Load the Translation Table to the controller following How to load a custom translation table on to a VFC.
- Reference the Site Configuration document to determine the proper Translation Table for the display. Please contact Daktronics Technical Support if you do not have the correct Translation Table.
- NOTE: Some displays will use the Automatic Translation Table rather than a Custom Translation Table.
- Once back at the main System Configuration menu, arrow down and select Display Interface.
- Select Configure.
- Enter the number of Display Interfaces (PLRs).
- Reference the Site Configuration sheet per the contract to determine how many PLRs are in the display.
- Press Cancel twice to navigate to the Configuration menu.
- Select Peripheral.
- Select Add.
- Select Advanced Setup.
- Arrow down and select Add Light.

Add Light connected to PLR.
- Select Front.
- Select Specify.
- Enter 2 for the Address.
- Select On Display Interface.
- Select First Display Interface.
- Select LUX (Default).

Add Light connected to embedded DMP-5050 controller.
- Select Front.
- Select Specify.
- Enter 2 for the Address.
- Select On Video Processor.
- Select LUX (Default).
