Environment

  • Product: VF, VX, VM, VL, or VC6 display
  • Components: VFC
  • Control System: NTCIP Software

Steps

  1. Log into sign 1.
  2. Select Configuration.
  3. Select peripheral.
  4. Select Add.
  5. Select advanced setup.
  6. Select Add Switch.
  7. Select BCD.
  8. Select VIP 1.
    1. This directs BCD connection to the VFC (J2 Digital I/O). 
  9. If there is no TC door switch or any input using control pin 1 select pin 1 if pin 1 is being used then select pin 2.
    Pin Description 
  10. Enter the number of inputs to use.
    1. The number of inputs depends on the total number of pins being used.
  11. No for Activation input.
  12. No for momentary, if customers are holding the contact closed.
  13. No for Support Reactivation
  14. No for Inverted
  15. No for Pulse Latch
  16. Store the messages in the controller using VFC local Message Control or Vanguard Professional software.
