West Fargo Public Schools Elevate Game-Day Experience With New Daktronics Video Displays

West Fargo Public Schools recently upgraded all three high school gymnasiums with new Daktronics video boards, creating a unified, modern experience across the district. Each school received a nearly identical equipment package featuring Daktronics’ latest indoor video technology. At one end of each gym, a 3.9 mm video display (9.87’ × 16.43’) is paired with a BB-2121 Basketball Scoreboard. The opposite end features a BB-2107 Basketball Scoreboard enhanced with statistics panels and BB-2115 shot clocks, creating a fully integrated scoring and display system.

These upgrades immediately generated excitement within each school community. As Sheyenne High School Activities Director James Moe shared:

Getting these video boards was one of the best choices we made for our school and our activities! There has been so much excitement and buzz around the boards and what they can do… I couldn’t be happier with the final look and outcome of investing with Daktronics!

Enhancing Student Opportunities

Beyond game-day visuals, the new displays are opening the door to hands-on learning opportunities. Students are gaining real-world experience in content creation, production workflows, and digital promotion.

Horace High School’s Aaron La Deaux highlighted the academic impact:

The boards have provided a new tool for our students to experience firsthand graphic creation and promotion. The athletes get a college-level experience at high school events. The in-game entertainment for students and fans is limitless as we dive deeper into what we can do!

Elevating the Game-Day Atmosphere

The improved clarity and resolution of the displays have already transformed the in-gym experience for athletes and fans alike.

According to West Fargo High School Athletic Director Justin Behm:

The picture is incredibly clear and crisp… we’ve already seen a noticeable boost in our gameday experience. Fans consistently compliment the boards, along with the graphics and information we’re able to display. I truly believe we’ve only scratched the surface of what these boards can do.

A District-Wide Investment in Community Pride

With three schools completing the same upgrade simultaneously, the district has created a cohesive, professional environment that benefits students, spectators, and local sponsors.

Daktronics Sales Representative Kyle Kraemer summed up the value of the project:

The recent video board upgrades across the three West Fargo high schools are a tremendous step forward for the district. The new equipment will enhance the fan experience, generate revenue for the schools, and - with the use of FrameWrx and DakClassroom - create opportunities for students to grow, learn, and lead within the video production field. These video boards are an investment that will help strengthen community pride among the three schools.
