It’s Bowl Season! We’re talking about NCAA Division I college football bowl games, of course. The culmination of the college football season is the last chance for teams and players to come away with a win, and it also shines a light on world-class facilities as they host the games that can be seen televised across the country. It is all topped off with the playoffs and national championship on January 9, 2023.

So, what does that look like for Daktronics? Our products will be on display at 31 of 43 total games – nearly 75%! While bowl games begin on December 16, the first game with our equipment kicks off on Saturday, December 17, with the Celebration Bowl at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. This venue is iconic for installing the first ever LED halo video display, built into the roof structure and totaling a staggering 61,900 square feet of digital signage. The stadium features more than 82,500 square feet of LED displays throughout the venue.

Three more games take place at Daktronics-equipped facilities on the 17th as the fun really begins! Then, the rest of the games are played through January 2, 2023, at venues with our equipment as college football helps celebrate the holiday season and ring in the new year. While some of these venues feature our main video displays, others will be using our auxiliary displays, ribbon boards and other supplemental digital signage to impact these events for their fans.

Having equipment isn’t the only aspect of these bowl games. Our services team will also provide game-day support for 20 of these games! This includes having personnel on hand before kickoff to do pre-event checks or during the games to monitor the equipment and ensure it all operates as expected.

If you’re a college football fan or just enjoy the bowl season, check for those video displays when you tune into the games and see if Daktronics is helping create an amazing game-day atmosphere!
