A new highlight in my internship at Daktronics was attending the Coaches Association Show in North Carolina this summer. The event brought together coaches and industry vendors from across the region. It was a great opportunity to learn more about the challenges organizations face and how Daktronics solutions help create engaging experiences for athletes, students and communities.
During the show, I spent time at the Daktronics booth meeting attendees, answering questions, and observing conversations between our team and customers. One of the best parts of the trip was getting the chance to work closely with my fellow intern Haynes Whorley. We were able to exchange ideas, support one another and gain valuable experience together.
Another rewarding part of the show was hearing about the variety of projects taking place throughout schools and recreation facilities. From scoreboard upgrades to video display installations, it was exciting to see how technology plays a role in enhancing the game-day experience for athletes and fans. I met professionals from different backgrounds, expanded my network and gained a better understanding of the many career paths connected to Daktronics' markets.
Overall, attending the Coaches Association Show was a valuable experience. It strengthened my professional skills and gave me firsthand experience representing Daktronics. I am grateful for the opportunity and excited to apply what I learned throughout the remainder of my internship.
