At the beginning of April, I had the opportunity to travel to Orlando, Florida, to attend the ISA International Sign Expo, one of the largest events in the signage and visual communications industry. This trip served as a valuable learning experience, allowing me to work alongside Daktronics team members and see how we present our products on a national stage.

One of the most valuable parts of this trip was being able to experience the ISA Expo from start to finish. I was directly involved in booth setup, the live convention and booth teardown.

During setup, I saw how months of planning and preparation came together in real time. Our team was able to get completely set up and organized for the show in a timely manner. This experience gave me a newfound appreciation for the preparation that goes on behind the scenes.

Once the convention officially started, I worked alongside the Daktronics team and saw how they connected with customers, demonstrated products and met customer needs firsthand. It was great to see how every interaction contributed to building relationships and strengthening existing connections.

Once convention hours concluded, I assisted with packing up the booth and preparing it for departure. This further highlighted how important it is to be organized and prepared, as we were able to work efficiently as a team to quickly tear down, load up and be ready for our drive back to Brookings, SD, the next day.

Overall, this experience was not only valuable but also rewarding. I had the opportunity to work with a great group of people who were supportive, Knowledgeable and team-oriented throughout the entire event. Being a part of the Daktronics team at the ISA expo not only strengthened my understanding of the industry but also made for a memorable and meaningful experience.
