All Sport console LCD screen is blank but otherwise functional; Loose ribbon cable

Potential Symptoms

  • The console or controller LCD screen is blank but console is powering on and it is otherwise fully operational and scoreboards are responding.

Cause

  • Ribbon cable connecting console LCD screen to PC board inside is loose.

Resolution

  • Re-secure ribbon cable connection both at LCD screen and at PC board inside console.
    1. Setup workstation to eliminate causing any damage to components in the All Sport.
    2. Make sure console is off with power cable removed from wall outlet or battery pack removed if applicable.
    3. Take out screws on top corners of All Sport console.
    4. Roll metal cover forward being careful not to damage the ribbon cable.
    5. Check and secure ribbon cable between LCD screen and PC board.
    6. Close console and secure with screws.
    7. Plug in and operate as normal.
