Environment

  • Product Family:  Transportation
  • Product: VFC 
  • Components: BCD Switch configured VFC
  • Control System: Vanguard Professional software

Steps

  1. Yes, it is possible to override a BCD activated message.  BCD has a priority of 128 (Normal).
    1. The message must be a higher priority than the BCD-activated messages
      1. Create a message with appropriate priority in Vanguard Professional Content Studio.

    2. Activate the message with Vanguard Professional software (or other NTCIP-compliant software cable of creating content with specific priority).

    3. Refresh status in Vanguard and verify the message is playing.

  2. To revert back to BCD-activated (local control) message, blank the display in Vanguard Professional software.

  3. Then refresh status to verify BCD-activated message is playing.
