Potential Symptoms

  • Unable to show time of day (TOD) to scoreboard display using OmniSport with Multi-drop Protocol.

Environment

  • Product Family:  Sports Product

  • Control System:  OmniSport 2000

Cause

  • Number of Lines set to 1 in the OmniSport 2000 settings.  TOD displays on line 2.

Resolution

  • Set Number of Lines:
    • Press [Menu]>[4]>[3]>[1]>[1].
    • Set the "# OF LINES / LINES= ??*" where ?? is the number of lines of lane/place/time the scoreboard can show at one time from 1-10.
  • Also, a good time to verify the Number of Lanes:
    • Press [Menu]>[4]>[1]>[1]. 
    • Verify/Set the "MENU-POOL / # OF LANES: ??*" where ?? is the number of lanes in the pool from 1-10.  
  • Now ready to set Time of Day (TOD):
    • Press [Menu]>[1]>[3]>[ENTER]>[ENTER].  Time of Day (TOD) will display in 12 hour format on line 2.
